Goals:

The Friends mission of preserving Gillette Castle and its grounds includes many goals. One major long-range goal, the detailed restoration and permanent preservation of Mr. Gillette’s electric locomotive, has been recently achieved and is visible in the park’s Visitors Center. 
    A second goal—the resoration of the complex steam locomotive that also rode the rails of the Seventh Sister Short-Line railroad—remains to be achieved.  In the meantime, the Friends have made possible the acquisition of professional-grade trail- and road-clearing equipment, and a multitude of important but less-visible contributions to the visitor experience.
    Friends participate in many ways from organizing events to doing creative, hands-on work. We welcome your interest!
