October 5-2 PM, William Gillette's restored electric locomotive is being unveiled at a press conference at the Visitors Center at Gillette Castle. Speaking will be Gina`McCarthy, DEP Commissioner and others.
October 6- the "Friends" are hosting a Restoration Celebration at The Castle from 5-8 PM sponsered by The Wine Cask, Old Saybrook and other generous donors.
There will be live music and hors d'oeuvres stations featuring items by local restaurants. Wine, beer and soft drinks will be available. A silent auction featuring many donated items will be held in The Castle.
Limit 300 people. $35 per person. Please make checks payable to FGCSP and send to Friends of Gillette Castle State Park, PO Box 133, East Haddam CT 06423. Please list full names of guests for registration.
